This RIEP Initiative is another manifestation of the power of acting regionally to benefit local communiites.
In response to the dramatic economic impact of Covid-19 and its fallout on rural islands that have economies reliant on arts, services, and tourism, RIEP acted quickly to organize an effective economic recovery campaign.
Visitors to islandcomeback.ca can purchase gift certificates or donate to over 160 participating businesses spanning the entire region.
The pandemic has since created a new era for online commerce. As a result, Island COMEBACK, over the coming months, will be evaluating how best to serve rural island communities in this new era - in the meantime registration is closed to new business/organizations sign-ups.
We CONTINUE TO encourage visitors to check out the 160 businesses and organizations and support via the purchase of a gift certificate or donate.
